From Hannah and Dan
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Hannah: Probably having dinner with everyone at one big table and listening to speeches, and grace. It is hard to pick one moment.
Dan: When the sunset popped out of the clouds and we were able to watch it go over the horizon from the backyard.
What was your favorite wedding detail?
Hannah: The flowers and the food. The bouquets, arbor, and table flowers were beautiful. Everyone raved about the Hawaiian tacos and passion fruit cupcakes after the wedding.
Dan: Being able to have everyone together at one long table during dinner.
Any advice for future couples?
Hannah: Personally, I felt having a small wedding at a destination was so much less stressful than usual wedding planning. That was the best decision we made.
Dan: Make sure you are in Hawaii enough days in advance to get your marriage license, as you have to meet with an agent in person (usually a weekday).
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Hannah: When my mom had us feed each other Hawaiian Spam instead of wedding cupcakes.
Dan: The goats bleating in the background, which the groomsman started mimicking at me prior to the wedding, “Daaaaan”.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Hannah: No, it turned out exactly as we wanted it to.
Dan: No, it turned out perfect.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to Kauai for our honeymoon. However, we would recommend spending more time on the big island of Hawaii. Kauai was a big adventure island (which we love) but it would have been nice to do more relaxing or fully experience one island first.
