Kalikimaka, meaning Christmas in Hawaiian, is our Christmas Blend. This blend is a mix of our medium dark and dark roasts. It is the perfect coffee for cuddling up with a good book and its caramel notes go great with liqueurs like Baileys.

Wet aroma: woodsy, crispy toast, raison bran, wood-burning fire
Hot: silky and heavy body, currants, toasted cedar, oak background with a vanilla and anise finish.
Cool: robust, enveloping smokiness and woodsiness, vanilla and anise become more present and linger on the palate.

Our darkest and toastiest roast. This is for those who love their coffee malty with a low acidity. It also has a great body and fullness.

Peaberry is not a style of roasting or a flavor of coffee, it is the shape of the bean itself. Peaberry is a naturally occurring mutation where only one bean is present inside of the coffee cherry instead of two. Usually, inside the fruit of coffee (aka coffee “cherry”) there are two seeds, shaped like how you’re used to, with a flat side and a round side. But with peaberry, the two seeds fuse during the growing process into one, creating a rounder more cylindrical-shaped bean.
In Kona, about 3-6% of the coffee cherry grown is peaberry. The amount varies each year and there is no way to grow more or to prevent peaberries from occurring. Historically, peaberry were seen as defective and were discarded during the sorting process. But one man’s trash is another’s treasure and when roasted independently from regular-shaped coffee, peaberry is really unique!
Peaberry does not necessarily taste better than non-peaberry, but it does taste different. On our tours and tastings at the farm, the amount of people who like it more than non-peaberry is about even. Those who love it say that it is sweeter than non-peaberry and more flavorful. Some say it is more aromatic while still being light-bodied. However, from our perspective as farmers, it is not the taste of peaberry that justifies charging more for it. Peaberry is rare (each year we only harvest about 200lbs), requires extra sorting and special roasting - which together account for the difference in price.
2020 is the first year we’ve sold our peaberry online. We have so little peaberry that in previous years, if we had sold it online we would not have had enough for in-person farm tours and tastings. But due to Covid and not hosting in-person tours and tastings, all of our reserved peaberry is now available!

Our barrel-aged coffees are a special release that we hope to continue to offer if they are popular. We "age" the coffee by storing our washed processed green coffee in empty liquor barrels until the coffee has absorbed the right amount of flavor from the alcohol.
This bourbon barrel-aged coffee was aged in barrels from Bulleit Kentucky Bourbon. It has a clear bourbon flavor - with strong notes of vanilla and a silky finish. A perfect after-dinner coffee.

This golden rum barrel-aged coffee was aged specifically in Hawaiian rum barrels from Old Lahaina Rum. It has a clear rum flavor and sweetness. This coffee is great iced and hot mixed with egg nog.
